10 oz strawberries, washed, dried and cut into quarters
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp water
In a small saucepan over moderate-low heat, combine ingredients. When it reaches a simmer, remove from heat. Pour into a food processor and pulse several times until partially chunky.
Serve over ice cream, panna cotta or pound cake.
Makes about 1/2 cup.
