Holiday Brownie Bon Bons
Brownie Bonbons (about 3 dozen)
1 package (19.8 oz) brownie mix, batter prepared according to package directions
1/2 cup finely crushed candy canes
Bake the brownies according to the package directions. Place the crushed candy canes in a shallow dish (note: crush candy canes in a freezer ziploc bag with rolling pin). Remove the brownies from the oven and allow to sit for 5 minutes. While the brownies are still warm, use a small ice cream scoop or a spoon to scoop them out; roll into 1-inch balls. Immediately roll in the crushed candy canes, coating completely. Allow to cool completely before serving. Preparation tip: Make some of these with red-and-white candy canes and others with green-and-white candy canes for a nice variety.
