Recipe Details:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 pound fresh goat cheese (I use Laura Chenel from Costco)
5-6 thick slices of a sweet batard or pulglisi loaf, cut into large (1-inch) pieces
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Salt/Pepper
1-2 apples, cut into thin slices
Preheat oven to 400. Toss butter and olive oil with bread cubes. Season with salt and pepper. Toast for 4 minutes, then flip bread cubes to toast other side another 4 minutes, until golden. Place on a plate with the apple slices.
Bring cream to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat, then add goat cheese. Stir until blended. Transfer to a fondue pot. Serve with apples and toasted bread cubes.
