Recipe Details:
Note: This marinade would be excellent for lamb or chicken kabobs - the marinade is really good and gives a very interesting flavor!
1 cup plain whole-milk yogurt
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp chili powder
3/4 tsp cumin
3/4 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Fresh black pepper
8 chicken drumsticks (about 2 pounds)
Pam cooking spray
In a small bowl, combine yogurt, oil, lemon juice
salt, pepper and spices. Pour into a large, sealable plastic bag. Add chicken and marinate for 3-4 hours.
Heat grill to medium-high. Spray with Pam or cooking spray. Turn down grill to low, place drumsticks on the grill, discarding the marinade. Cover with the lid and grill drumsticks for 10-12 minutes, uninterrupted. Turn off the burners directly under the chicken and turn up the adjacent burners to medium-high. Cover and grill for an additional 20 minutes. Check for doneness. Serves 4.
