Spicy Grilled Shrimp
1/4 cup chili sauce (american tomato)
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 and 1/2 tablespoon grated gingerroot
1/2 teaspoon Sriracha chili sauce (can be omitted)
1 teaspoon Chinese chili paste
2 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
1 pound large shrimp (bigger is better), peeled and deveined
Small handfull chopped cilantro
1. In a small bowl, combine chili sauce, hoisin, ginger, chile paste and oil. Mix well.
2. Mix the shrimp with the sauce, cover and refrigerate for an hour.
3. Grill shrimp on skewers over very hot coals. (or bake for 3-4 minutes in a 450-500 degree oven.)
4. Garnish with cilantro and serve warm.
