Michelada - spicy Mexican beer and lime juice
This combo might seem a little odd at first blush, but it's very refreshing and becomes a bit addictive. It's like a cerveza bloody mary.
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1 bottle of Mexican beer (12 oz.)
1-2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
1-2 dashes of Tabasco sauce
Salt the rim of a 8-10-ounce glass, rubbing lime juice around the rim then dipping the rim in a layer of salt on a small plate.
Fill half the glass with ice and then add 1/4 cup of lime juice. Add worcestershire sauce and tabasco. Pour to fill with beer.
Add a lime wedge and serve.
Makes 2 micheladas.
