4 ripe avocados, pits and skin removed
1/2 medium white onion chopped (about 1 cup)
1 tbsp minced jalapeno, seeded (optional)
2 small tomatoes, cored, seeded and chopped (I use the vine-ripened kind)
2 tbsp chopped cilantro (optional)
1-2 tbsp lemon juice (about 1/2 of a juicy lemon)
1/4 (+ 1/8 tsp, if necessary) tsp salt
1 bag tortilla chips
Mix all ingredients (except the chips) together with a fork in a medium bowl. Serve with tortilla chips.
